Entry Fees:- $2.00 per entry – fees MUST be paid with postal entry or if entry has been Emailed to be paid before show begins. (No refund or waiver of entry fees once entries received. Studs with emailed or faxed entries will still be responsible to pay outstanding entry fees if not attending show).

Exhibitors must be current financial social or full members of the Miniature Goat Breeders Association of Australia Inc at close of entries residing Australia wide.
Animals must hold current AMGR/MGBAA registration certificates.

Heights for age restrictions have been set for the purpose of showing and are listed in the MGBAA Show Rules. Animals must have NLIS ear tag in place and Identification must be confirmed prior to commencement of judging.

Judging commences at 1.30pm. All animals MUST be penned no later than 12.30pm. All Animals must be measured in prior to the commencement of judging and are to be brought up to the measuring station as directed by the steward. Animals not measured will not be permitted to show.

All original entry forms and fees (if not previously paid) MUST be handed in to the steward before 10am on the day along with a photocopy of AMGR/MGBA registration papers for each goat entered . Animals without this submitted on the day will not be eligible to show.

Please Note: A signed indemnity form by each exhibitor is mandatory for acceptance into this section and can be found as part of your entry form. This must be handed in before 10 am on day of show.

MGBA show rules apply to every show and will be enforced.

REGULATIONS

               Full Show Rules can be found on the Miniature Goat Breeders Association Website                 http://www.miniaturegoatbreedersassociation.com.au 

    1. Age of goats will be as shown adjacent to each class in the Show Schedule
    2. All goats must be owned by the exhibitor as recorded on registration certificate
    3. Classes are open to AMGR registered Australian Miniature Goats, exhibitors to be current financial members of MGBAA Inc.
    4. Bucks/Wethers over 24mths up to 60cm. Does over 24mths up to 57cm. Juniors under 12mths up to 53.3cm. Animals will be measured in prior to the commencement of judging.
    5. All goats must be on grounds by 9.00am for height verification on day of the Show
    6. All goats must be NLIS tagged and the tag be read prior to the Show
    7. All animals to be accompanied by a fully completed waybill
    8. All animals must be in a healthy condition, free of ticks, lice and visible signs of diseases or health problems. It is desirable that goats have been vaccinated.
    9. Animals should be good breed examples and must not have horns
    10. Bucks over 12 months are to be in the control of an adult handler and must be tethered in pen when not in control of an adult handler.
    11. Handlers will be neatly attired. Appropriate footwear must be worn. It is not permissible to wear any article of clothing or item which may identify the owner or breeder of the animal in the show ring.
    12. Handlers of stock must exercise control over the animals in their care at all times. A handler whose animal becomes uncontrollable in the ring may be ordered by the Steward to remove the animal
    13. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to follow the Stewards directions while in or around the ring and be ready on time. Ribbons/awards once placed will not be removed to re-judge class(es). The Judge must sign off on results sheet at the end of judging.
    14. The Chief Steward/Show Organiser reserves the right to make alterations to classes prior to the catalogue being printed. Incorrect entries will be transferred into the correct class. Large classes will not be split and judged as two smaller classes (affecting overall points). The Chief Steward may make entry alterations where necessary.
    15. All exhibitors and spectators are required to conduct themselves in an exemplary manor at all times  and extend courtesy to judges, show officials, fellow exhibitors and spectators attending the show. Any person being abusive or exhibiting disruptive or threatening behaviour will be warned by the Steward to cease said behaviour. Failure to comply will entitle the Steward to exclude and disqualify that person and entry. Serious offenders will be excused from the ring and will be prevented from competing in further classes. All entry fees and other such costs will be forfeited and offenders may be banned from future shows.
    16. All problems/disputes must be quietly discussed with Chief Steward away from the ring and away from the Judge, without disrupting class(es). The Chief Steward may hold a class if the Chief Steward feels it is necessary and if the problem relates directly to the class in progress and the Chief Steward thinks they can rectify it without disrupting the class. The Chief Steward may call any person(s) to assist with resolving the problem and the decision made by the Chief Steward at that time, will be final. All disputes/problems must be documented. Un-resolved disputes are to be submitted in writing, signed and posted to the MGBAA Secretary within 7 days of the show.
    17. The MGBAA Inc. recognises the position, rulings and directives of the Royal Agricultural Society in all matters relating to Society Shows and will follow their guidelines in situations where no rule has been provided for in these rules.
    18. MGBAA Inc/AMGR Breed Standards, Heights and Regulations will govern breed related issues IN ALL CASES.
    19. All mains voltage electrical equipment must display a current Test and Tag.
    20. There will be no refund of entry fees after closing date for the Show.
    21. Photos and results of classes / animals will be published as the Show Society / MGBAA/AMGR require.
    22. MGBAA/AMGR Show Rules apply.

    The Greenbank A&L Show Society will not under any circumstances hold itself liable for any accident, loss, damage or non- delivery of livestock or other exhibits at the Society’s Show, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold this Society blameless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising through any accident, loss, non-delivery or damage whatsoever.

DUE TO CURRENT CHANGES TO PUBLIC LIABILITY THE FOLLOWING CLAUSES HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE SHOW SOCIETY’S RULES AND REGULATIONS. PLEASE NOT WHEN YOU SIGN OFF ON YOUR ENTRY FORM YOU WILL BE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING INCLUSIONS:

In interpreting the above regulations, any decision made by the Show Committee is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

NOTE: Entry to the Show Ground for Competitors is via Leanne Court - ONLY. This is the street south of the Show Grounds off Teviot Road and is a competitor's gate only. Vehicles will NOT be permitted to drive through the Show Grounds when the public are present and there will be no exceptions to this rule. This is to keep vehicle movements away from the general public.

GROUND ADMISSION FEES:


$  7.00 for a driver and vehicle carrying competition goats.
$10.00 for a driver and support vehicle (i.e. carrying other support gear, hay, tents etc.)

                     Additional passengers must pay normal show entry fees:

Children under 16 years                          $  3.00 each
                   (school age to 15 years with an accompanying adult)
Family Pass:                                            $ 20.00
                  (for 6 people with a maximum of 2 adults e.g. 2 adults,
                   2 seniors and 2 children or 2 adults, 4 children etc)

No vehicle carrying goods for sale may enter the grounds without a trade
site permit. Refer to website for details.

Dogs must be kept in a closed float, a vehicle or on a short leash and must be suitably muzzled as to prevent it being able to injure or bite any person or other animal.
